How to add Authors and giving Roles in Wordpress Blog

If you want to add multiple members to you blog or website , you are at the right place , this article is for you . Wordpress provides the facility to add multiple members and to enhance the Quality Content on your blog . THere are different types of roles you can provide to different members like Subscriber ,Author , Contributor , Editor , Administrator . So start to enhance the scope of you blog .

Its very simple just follow the below steps .

Steps to add Authors in Wordpress -

1. Log in to wordpress Blog and go to Dashboard

2. Click on the Users in Left sidebar .

3. Click on the Add New button .

4. Now you will need to fill Information about New User .  I numbered all the boxes in the image you will need to fill . The main part is to Click on 7th check box to inform  by e-mail and the 8th box to give a Role . then finally click on the Add New User button .

Understand the Roles to the members carefully , its the main part .

Administrator - An Administrator has the 100% control to the blog or website . he can write , can post , changing themes , delete content , install Plugins . Its recommended to not offer this role to anyone unless you trust him .

Contributor - A contributor only can edit their own posts , and can't publish . he can not access the plugins section , theme changing etc Adminstrative powers .

Editor - An editor can edit , add , delete , publish their own posts and of other users also but can not access settings and plugins .

Author - He has the complete control on their own Contents only . he can write , edit , publish , delete their own Contents .

Subscriber - A subsciber can only login to yor blog or website and can Comment or Download the content as a registered User .

Thus you can add the new members to your blog or website and can give the roles to them .
